Waking up on a bed of roses gave our second day at The Cove Rotana a perfect start! I wanted to stay longer on a bed with soft white linens and sweet-smelling rose petals, but then I remembered how the temperature can be unbearable once the sun is fully up. So, Ed and I decided to go on a morning stroll at the beach and take a dip in the infinity pool by 7am, have breakfast at 9 and return to our romantic hideaway before noon.
I love to spend early mornings by the sea; when the balmy sea breeze is chilly even during the peak of summer! The Cove Rotana's pristine beach is perfect for a long walk. That morning, we had the 600 m of white sand for ourselves. We actually wondered why all the other guests were still indoor when the cool summer breeze and the sea are irresistibly inviting in the morning.
Halfway through our morning stroll, we passed by The Cove's leisure amenities. Aside from beach bumming, guests who seek for fun, physical activities can enjoy water sports and volleyball games. Deep sea fishing and snorkeling trips are also offered.
I wanted our weekend to be calm and romantic, no sports or any physical exhaustion. I was happy that my adventurous husband agreed with me! So, we disregarded the thrilling water sports and continued with our relaxing walk. From the beach, we passed by one of the wooden bridges that were built over the tranquil waters of the lagoon.
Then, we reached the Laguna Bay infinity pool. The pool was very inviting, so we didn't waste our time and immediately jumped in! Laguna Bay pool is located near the lagoon and the villas. It also has a good view of the beach nearby.
We had a great time at the pool. Ed wanted to swim some more laps, while I couldn't ignore my grumbling stomach. He was left without a choice but to go back to the villa, take a shower and have breakfast with his "always hungry" wife at Cinnamon! :) While we were walking to our hideaway, we passed by the units with private plunge pools. These two or three-bedroom villas are ideal for a big family or a group of friends!
At 9 am, we were already busy filling our tummies at Cinnamon. Just like our exquisite dinner, breakfast choices were vast and really delicious! More about Cinnamon here.
And just like we promised ourselves when we woke up, we went back to our One-Bedroom Villa after breakfast and spent more hours of quality time. I lazed around and fixed our stuff, while Ed grabbed another snooze time! And it was all possible because The Cove Rotana granted our request for a late check-out.
We had the grandest time at The Cove Rotana! I know, Ed and I have expressed how grateful we are a lot times already, but we will never get tired of saying THANK YOU to everyone who made our Blogversary getaway the sweetest. It was a romantic escape that we will remember forever.
