Dining Options at Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa

A romantic retreat should always be paired with sumptuous food! For a foodie couple, quality time is at its best while sharing a hearty breakfast, a good lunch and a fancy dinner. We were lucky to have all those three during our anniversary getaway at Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa. 

Late Lunch by the Sea at Sharkeys

We arrived at Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa a little past 2pm. After a smooth check-in, we left our bags in our garden-view room and decided to have our late lunch by the sea. We went to Sharkeys, a beach bar that offers breathtaking view and delicious light meals.   

Ed's cup of cappuccino and my tall glass of iced tea arrived with a complimentary bread basket. Then, after a couple of sips, the mains were served. It was Fish & Chips for me and a Turkey Ham Panini for my husband. Both dishes came in huge potions, I could have shared the battered deep-fried fish to two more people!

Fish and Chips: a perfect beachside meal

We lounged on our rattan dining chairs while staring at the vast Indian Ocean. With the blue sea and the balmy sea breeze, everything turned into slow motion! I guess, with that kind of view, nobody would even dare to rush!

Anniversary Dinner at Waves

On a warm summer night, we walked along the dimly lit pathway to Waves restaurant. Aside from the main restaurant, Waves also has open cabanas by the shore. We were given a table for two at one of the cabanas. Although we didn't had it privately, it still remained an ideal spot for our romantic Anniversary dinner.

I had Tuna Alla Plancha; a thick cut of tuna, grilled to perfection and served with roasted vegetables, balsamic syrup and capers. Dear husband opted to have steak with back peppercorn sauce, fries and mixed lettuce. The two mains were flavorful and filling!

It was a quiet night; just the sound of the waves kissing the shore and some hush hush conversations of a dating couple seated near our spot. A few steps away from us was another couple on a private candle-light dinner date. Waves restaurant can arrange a more romantic dining spot near the sea for an additional fee.

Breakfast at Mozaique

We had our morning meal at Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa's all day dining restaurant. Mozaique is a fancy family restaurant that serves international buffet breakfast and lunch, and themed buffet dinner. The restaurant looks very lively and colorful; enough to lighten up ones mood!

For breakfast, there were various selections to choose from; pastries, fry-ups, fruits and cereals. Omelettes and basic egg dishes are freshly prepared at the live cooking station. It would have been awesome if there's a station for crepes, just like Cinnamon at The Cove Rotana. :)

Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa has three more dining spots; Tabu: the tropical bar, Al Falaj: the all day cafe lounge and Tropicana: the pool bar. You can also enjoy delicious meals at your utmost comfort in your hotel room; say breakfast in bed or private dinner at your room's terrace. It's your call!
