Romantic Break at Kempinski

I have seen promotions of Kempinski Hotel Ajman in different deal websites since last year. Though the offers were good, I hesitated to purchase one because of the hotel's mixed reviews at Trip Advisor. Recently, I stumbled upon another offer at Cobone, my favorite daily-deal website. It was a deal I couldn't ignore. For only 500AED, the offer included an overnight stay, buffet dinner and buffet breakfast for two. I finally gave in! Kempinski's tempting promotion was perfectly in time for our 1st year wedding anniversary.

For the first time in my history of being an OC traveler, I forgot to put three important things inside my bag. On our way to Ajman, I realized I left our printed voucher (which we need to present upon check-in), my comb (to keep my long locks neat), and a pair of jeans (wearing shorts is not allowed at the hotel's restaurant)!  We arrived at Kempinski Hotel with all my worries in tow. How foolish of me to forget about the documents needed and the strict dress code which were clearly stated on the pre-arrival email. How silly will I look having a romantic dinner with tousled hair! 

The anxiety was replaced with astonishment as we walk inside the hotel. We were amazed of the luxurious lobby. With an Arabian concept, large crystal chandeliers, palm trees, and a beautiful fountain... Kempinski Hotel Ajman is fabulous!  

Problem #1 was solved at the reception. We were assisted to the hotel's business center where we printed our voucher and reservation letter for free. 

At 2:00 pm, there were so many guests checking in. Although we waited 15 minutes for our turn, the check-in process was smooth. We were offered a cold towel and a refreshing drink while waiting. 

I never had great expectations for our room since we were on a discounted stay. To my surprise, it has a comfortable king size bed, a terrace facing the sea and a splendid view of lush greeneries and white-sand beach. Our room was flawless! 

Problem #2 was solved by the Housekeeping Department! 

I requested for a comb and it was delivered to our room immediately.

For 2 days and 1 night, we experienced luxury and leisure in a 5-star hotel for a very low price! We were given free access to the pool and to the best private beach in the whole UAE. 

Problem #3 was left unsolved! I went to Cafe Kranzler for breakfast wearing shorts and they let me in... Yey! I have read some complaints about the strict dress code at Kempinski. I think the rules are flexible, depending on certain seasons (like Ramadan when clothes should be less revealing).

     

Our stay at Kempinski Hotel Ajman was truly splendid. The grandoise lobby, excellent service, cozy room, and tranquil atmosphere were indeed perfect for our romantic Anniversary getaway.
