Reason #1: Dune Bashing
Dune bashing is a thrilling ride on a 4x4 vehicle, driven by a professional driver. It is not for the faint-hearted as the ride can be fast and bumpy on the desert's fragile sand.

Reason #2: Desert Fun
After the adrenaline-pumping ride, have a brief rest in the middle of the wilderness and watch the sunset. Slide on the slopes of slippery sand, jump around and frolic like little kids on a playground's sand pit.
Reason #3: Quad Bike
If the roller-coaster ride on the dunes not enough, rent a quad bike! Drive your way on the desert slopes, this time at your own pace!
Reason #4: Camel Ride
As the adrenaline rush from the bashing and biking subsides, ride a camel before heading to camp. The slow pace camel ride is a unique and fun experience. My advice: wear comfortable clothing. Hopping on and off the camel's hump is never easy! I wonder how Carrie Bradshaw on SATC movie rode a camel with so much poise and glamour!
Reason #5: Desert Camp
End the fun day in a desert camp! Most desert safari tours include an Arabic BBQ dinner and a belly dancing show. Be like a local, wear traditional clothing and get a henna tattoo for free!
Travel Tip: It is important to book your Desert Safari trip 1 day ahead. You can have it in the morning or in the afternoon. Overnight safari tours are also offered, but if you only have a little time to spare, book the afternoon trip which includes almost all the fun activities. Pick-up time is usually at 4 PM and drop off at 9 PM. Price ranges from 120 to 300 AED.
