Eid Mubarak!
How's your holiday so far? I'm pretty sure you're enjoying every bit of the long weekend. :) Ed and I are just spending the 3-day Eid break in the city. Having no getaway plan this year is quite bizarre, but that doesn't mean we're having a boring holiday.
The city of Dubai celebrates Eid Al Fitr with a bang! There are various activities in store for residents and tourists. There are astounding events and great shopping deals at the malls, and fantastic fireworks shows at Dubai Creek and Dubai Festival City every night! :)
On the first night of Eid Al Fitr, we went to Dubai Festival City to witness the annual Eid Fireworks. During the 3-day celebration, Dubai Festival City offers a free laser light show, followed by a grand fireworks display at the Festival Marina.
Dubai Festival City's waterfront was jam-packed. People from all walks of life gathered at the promenade; the atmosphere was very festive! Exactly at 10:00 pm, neon laser lights dazzled and danced along a popular tune. When the laser lights and the music faded, the astonishing pyrotechnics took over and DFC's night sky brimmed with bright colors! (Instagram video at the end of this post)
The grand Eid Fireworks display at Dubai Festival City is only until Saturday, August 10, 2013. You can also watch spectacular pyrotechnics every 9:30pm from the Dubai Creek at Al Seef Street.
Location:
Festival Marina
Dubai Festival City
Show Timings:
Laser Shows: 8:00pm, 8:30pm, 9:00pm, 9:30pm and 10:00pm
