I was already running low on energy mid-September! The first two weeks were jam-packed with getaways on weekends and massive workload on weekdays. I badly needed some precious ME time and I was really thankful when an invitation from
Virgin Megastore arrived in my Inbox. It was an invite for the Family Festival; a 4-day celebration in line with the opening of Virgin's newly renovated store in Mercato. I was jumping inside while reading these: fashion shows (
wow!), live music performance (
yay!), food demos (
omg!) and free manicure (
oh yes!).
On a Wednesday morning of another busy week, I went to Virgin Megastore's event with a friend. Since we were both looking forward to the girly pamper session, we went to the free manicure booth immediately. Our nails were painted with Models Own Nail Polish. I had mine in soft pink and with sparkles on my ring finger, while my friend, J, had cute floral nail art! We were so happy with our lovely finger nails. :)

Then, we watched a live cooking demonstration using very interesting home products from Red Box. There's Zoku, a popsicle maker that can freeze ice pops in seven minutes without electricity! We were also introduced to the Rice Cube Sushi Maker, an easy to use kitchen tool which can make cubes made of rice, spices and chopped ingredients

I was so thrilled when I saw a table of Kitsch cupcakes in one corner. I unleashed the cupcake monster in me, rushed to the booth and grabbed a mini vanilla cupcake with pink frosting!
Oh so yummy! Look how perfect it is with my pink nails!

In between the food demos, there's a fashion show of Jobedu T-shirts and New Era caps. Jobedo is a clothing line inspired by modern Arabic pop culture. The designs are very cool and trendy, perfect for laid-back summer days! New Era has stylish snapbacks for those who love fashion and sports.
We were also entertained with live performances from Abbo and Tim Hassall. Both are extremely talented, up and coming artists! They played their originals and even did acoustic covers of some of my favorite songs.

One of the best things with event like this is being able to meet fellow bloggers. I'm glad that I had the chance to get to know Sanne, the blogger behind
www.mitziemeeblog.com. Her blog is filled with amazing travel guides which could really help me with my travel plans in the future.
