Now that we are about to welcome the last quarter of 2013, our homecoming plan for next year is already brewing. Having a home country with 7,107 beautiful islands is also having 7,107 or more getaway options! "Which island shall we explore?" has always been the big question. Since I'm always OC and too ecstatic when it comes to 'escape plans', I am already doing some major research.
I have been browsing the archive of Cebu Pacific's inflight magazine, and I stumbled upon a very interesting article about Coron in Smile magazine's December 2012 issue. I have always longed to visit Palawan; to travel to Puerto Princesa and see the Underground River, but the Coron's Jewels article makes me want to fly to Busuanga instead!

Coron is a part of the Calamian group of islands. It is a treasure trove of natural beauty. It has white sand beaches and secret lagoons with crystal clear waters! Also located in the island is Maquinit Hot Springs, the only salt water hot spring in the country, and Kayangan Lake, a freshwater lake on a mountain top.

A short road trip and boat ride away from Coron is Calauit, another adventure island. It is a home to endangered animal species. Calauit National Park offers a great Safari experience, you can feed giraffes and watch zebras and impalas roam freely!
I still have several months of vacation planning, thousands of options and hundreds of Smile magazines to read at https://waytogo.cebupacificair.com/, but Coron is currently my top choice!
Philippines is a very beautiful country talaga noh? You don't have to go too far to see nice places like Coron. Before my husband and i got married, we planned to visit Palawan pero di matuloy tuloy. maybe when our little boy grows a little bigger pa para the three of us can enjoy the place better. :-) good luck on your planning, I'm sure you'll have lotsa fun!
ReplyDeleteFor sure, I will. :)
DeleteIt's not just with travelling, it's also the joy of being with the family. :)
Philippines is really a beautiful country sayang nga lang at hindi ma-explore ng lahat ang kagandahan ng Pinas dahil na rin sa kakulangan ng budget.. Coron is also one of my dream island to visit.. I hope someday makakapunta din ako dyan.. hehehe
ReplyDeleteWe are blessed to have a very beautiful country. Sana beautiful din ang economy noh?
DeleteThat would be a great place to visit. If you do go do tell about where to visit and stay there :)
ReplyDeleteYup, I'll blog about the experience for sure. I'm hoping our plans will be realized. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :)
DeleteWe plan to go to Coron next year, too! I am so excited kahit wala pang ticket. hahaha
ReplyDeleteWow! Great to know about the amazing place. I also like to travel a lot but don't even get much time to travel around in the UAE. I wish I would be there once in my life.
ReplyDeletecoron is a great choice. if i were not scared of flying via light plane, i would visit that place in a snap. :)
ReplyDeletei've heard a lot of raves about coron. and truly from that photograph alone, the place seems like paradise. i'm sure you'll be able to visit the place the next time you come home.
ReplyDeleteIf you're pressed for time, just plan one island-hopping tour when you get there. Squeeze Culion and/or Calauit in your itinerary. At any rate, you just can't have a bad photograph at Coron. It's one of my favorite destinations in the Philippines. :)

ReplyDeleteYou are right. Our country is very beautiful and it's really worth visiting each island. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think your planned trips would go without a hitch, what with your advance and meticulous planning. :-)
ReplyDeleteI am thinking of nature tripping during vacation here in the country first before going out. :)
ReplyDeleteWith the numerous numbers of islands in our country, I know that there are many hidden paradise around. I just hope that it will be preserved and not exploited.
ReplyDeleteCoron was one of the places I really found interesting!...I am not a water and sun person...but I had so many beautiful surprises when I was there and really enjoyed my trip!
