A Romantic Retreat at Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa

Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa in Fujairah Al Aqah is a hideaway situated in the middle of the Hajar mountains and the Indian Ocean; an ideal location for romantic getaways! It is perfect when you just want to leave the world behind and run into a place where you can just stare at the sea, the mountains, the stars and your lover's eyes! That is the exact reason why we chose the resort for our Anniversary Escapade last October.

After 3 hours on the road, our extra-friendly taxi driver dropped us at the main lobby and promised to fetch us the next day. We finished the check-in process, in the smoothest and warmest "Rotana" way. Big fan of Rotana Hotels here, by the way! As soon as we finished our cool hibiscus welcome drink, we were ushered to our romantic nook on board a golf cart.

Ed and I were supposed to stay in a classic room located in the main building, but we were given a classic room with a terrace facing the garden instead; just a couple of steps away from the beach and the pool. Rotana is always way too generous, especially to guests who are celebrating something special! 

The classic room is spacious. It has a queen size bed covered with fresh white linens and a bathroom with raindrop shower. The sliding glass door gave us the easy access to nature. On a beautiful sunny day, it was just right to pull the thick curtain on the side and have the sheer fabric drape over the glass to let the right amount of sunshine in. 

If I have to describe Fujairah Rotana in a single word, I'd say "Zen". It has beautifully manicured lawns and tranquil water features. The pathways leading to the attractions are lined with green bermuda grass, palm trees and pebble ponds.

With the Hajar Mountains and the Indian ocean, Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa has a picture-perfect view in every angle. We succumbed to the relaxing atmosphere as we took a dip in the temperature-controlled pool and beach-bummed on the fine sand. 

We capped off our anniversary getaway with a sweet surprise from Rotana. There's no better feeling than being in a breathtaking resort, relaxing and celebrating with a slice of luscious strawberry mousse cake!
