It seems like a love spell was sprinkled all over Paris! Romance is everywhere... in the streets, in the landmarks, in the gardens, in the walls! For those who'll find this sappy, sorry, but the city is filled with love traps!
You can't escape romance in Paris!
Something in the air will make you want to cuddle, to kiss, to say Je t'aime countless times even if you can't pronounce it right! :) There are several ways to celebrate L-O-V-E in Paris. Here are 10 of our favorites.

A bottle of red wine. A fine array of cheese and charcuterie. You. Him. The Eiffel Tower. What more can I say? :)

2. See the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night
The Eiffel Tower looks magnificent any time of the day, but something magical happens when the moon is up! The tower is wrapped with fairy lights that twinkles for only five minutes every hour at night. My heart skipped a beat when I saw it sparkle for the first time, even on the second time, and on the third time!

3. Walk along the banks of Seine River
Romance endlessly flows in the vein of Paris; aka the Seine River. Lovers can cruise into the sunset, have dinner in a bateaux, or simply walk along the river's edge hand in hand. Since we were on a budget trip, we opted for the latter. It's free, but it was dreamy nonetheless. La Seine is seductive and its bridges are whimsical!

4. Sit by the lake in Jardin des Tuileries
Smack in between the tourist frenzy - Place de la Concorde and The Lourve - is a public park where we enjoyed a little downtime. There's nothing much to do in Jardin des Tuileries other than relaxing in the chairs, feeding the birds, sharing a cone of Amorino gelato and talking about sweet nothings.

5. Watch the sunrise in Trocadero
There's no other place perfect for sunrise viewing other than Trocadero, if you ask me. It's pure magic when the sun breaks into the horizon, when the Eiffel Tower is beautifully silhouetted against the golden Parisian sky. And yes, there are no tourists, vendors, and uhmmm scammers, to ruin the moment.

6. Love-Lock!
As a symbol of everlasting love, lovers attach a padlock in a bridge and throw the key in the Seine. The hopeless romantic in me finds this really cute. But okay, I have to be honest, ever since I read the news on the damage that this romantic gesture can cause, I decided not to do it. A little selfie amidst the declarations of love was enough for us.

7. Stroll in Luxembourg Gardens
Ed and I are not museum junkies; hence we traded museum visits with quiet strolls in the public gardens. We had a fab "us" time at Jardin du Luxembourg. The sprawling garden is studded with flowerbeds and tree-line promenades; definitely a good spot to be extra sentimental.

8. Date night in a French Restaurant
Date nights in The City of Love doesn't need to cost a fortune. Paris is a home to expensive Michelin-starred restaurants, yet there are other places where you can indulge in fine French cuisine without breaking the bank. Ed took me to La Fermette Marbeuf on our last night in Paris. It is a romantic French restaurant with a Belle Epoque ambiance and reasonably priced Art Nouveau tasting menu.

9. Say "I LOVE YOU" in different languages in Montmartre
Le mur des je t'aime in Montmartre is a monument dedicated to love. The blue wall is embellished with the words I love you in 250 different languages. We couldn't read everything, yet we found the ones that we can speak from the heart... Iniibig kita. Gihigugma ko ikaw. Ti voglio bene. Je t'aime.

10. KISS! Anywhere. Everywhere!
There's something in the air in Paris; some love dust, perhaps, that makes people long for affection. So, yeah! People kiss anywhere! That being said, don't stop yourself from being cheesy, clingy, and extra-romantic in Paris! No one will judge you, so don't judge us! :)
